Tribute to Jimmy!!

I am so sad that Jimmy is not with us on this earth anymore and sometimes struggle to know what do now. I wish I could take away everyones pain and change things so that this terrible thing had not happened. But I have decided that I want to not only honor Jimmy by education and hopefully prevention of the dangers of prescription drugs but also through my actions to those around me. I have made mistakes in my life that I wish I could change. I wish I had been a better big sister, an example to those that followed. I have tried to right my wrongs and become a better person and want to continue to do so as I honor the brother that I loved so much. I know that is what Jimmy wants for us and from us and he would not, could not have left us if he had not known that we could handle it and do what needed to be done. I believe Jimmy wants us to be happy, to find joy in the little things like a baby, a sunrise, a quiet moment, and the love of those around us. He wants us to be there for each other to help each other through this difficult time and become closer in spite of it all. He wants us to reach out to those around us and always look out for the one who is left out or left behind. He wants us to be there for Jackie and Jayden and let them know that he loved them and make sure that they know who to come to when they are in need. He wants us to cherish the love that we have in our lives from those around us. He wants us to forgive each other and ourselves. He wants us to remember the good times and know that what ever experiences that we have in the future he is there with us. My tribute to Jimmy and I hope all of ours is turning the quote that we will remember him by into the motto to live life by; "In Death as in Life he brought us closer. Never Forget!!!" I love you Jimmy and I will never forget!!

Very well said Sherri. I, too, want to honor Jimmy by how I live my life on earth. I love you too Jimmy!

Sorry mom, where did the Never forget thing come from?

Yes, I agree. We need to band together. I too hope to live a better life and to love those around me more. I don't want people to ever wonder if I loved them!

I hope that we all can keep in touch better than we have. I am so sad that I didn't take to time to get to know Jimmy as an adult.
